Specialist Anaesthetist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital and the Mater Hospital, with special interests in anaesthesia for thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery, cardiology procedures and gynaecological surgery, as well as medical management of cardiopulmonary bypass perfusion. Other activities include training and examinations in anaesthesia, provision and training of anaesthesia in developing countries throughout the world, and he has been President of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
